Maintenance and Restoration Work to Commence at Grand Opera House
A contract has been awarded to carry out maintenance and restoration work at the Grand Opera House in Belfast. The premier performing arts venue is a Grade A listed building. The aim of the project is to maintain and enhance the building’s heritage features whilst ensuring operational readiness for future productions. The work will involve a heritage-sensitive refresh and maintenance programme, including the laying of a new stage surface, decorative plasterwork maintenance, and cleaning of auditorium features. The scope also includes upgrades to dressing rooms and maintenance of the foyers, bars and back-of-house areas. Work on site is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 and will last for three weeks. Some supply chain opportunities are still available. All enquiries are welcome.
