Roof Repairs to Commence at Mount Stewart

A new project for the National Trust is set to commence at Mount Stewart in Newtownards, which is a historic Grade A listed building.

The work will involve:

  • Enabling works to remove two-storey portacabins from site where the site compound is proposed.
  • Re-roofing sections of the roof in natural slate.
  • Lead flashings, cappings, and gutters.
  • New lead hopper and catchpit.
  • Replacement of section of lead flat roof.
  • Timber repairs to roof.
  • New maintenance access routes and ladders.
  • Removal of redundant plant and making good the roof.

The Architect for this project is Consarc. The work is set to commence late September and is scheduled to take 12 weeks to complete. Some supply chain opportunities are still available; all enquires are welcome.
