Reconfiguration of Danske Bank, Killeaton House, Dunmurry

The £1.6m project, which was undertaken in 2017, involved refurbishment and redevelopment work to an existing occupied office building in Dunmurry to provide space for increased staff numbers. Work included:

  • The enclosure of an existing interior courtyard to provide a canteen area. The new canteen/ breakout space was constructed on piled foundations, a concrete raft slab, and a steel frame utilising a timber & membrane roof with Velux windows. Above the cooking equipment zone, external plant space was formed on the roof. The areas around the rooftop plant were clad, with an access door formed on First Floor level.
  • The existing building was reconfigured with stud walls removed and new doors formed.
  • A new entrance lobby was constructed including the installation of an entrance canopy.
  • Mechanical and electrical services were upgraded including toilet facilities, and ceiling cassettes.

The client’s key design consultants included:
Architect: Todd Architects
Services Engineer: AH Design
Structural Engineer: Design ID
Principal Designer: Hasco Europe
