Ulster University Coleraine – Rationalisation Phase 1B

Ulster University commissioned QMAC Construction to deliver a £1.7m+ high-specification refurbishment/reconfiguration project within Block E of the Coleraine campus.

The work comprised of the refurbishment / reconfiguration of the existing University catering and dining facilities in the Lower Ground Floor of Block E and their conversion to Students’ Union facilities, offices, teaching accommodation, and a new staff common room. The project also included the conversion at first floor level of the existing staff common room into new corporate dining and conference facilities. Work to the external facade included window replacement, installation of ventilation louvres, and wall cladding to existing brickwork. The specialised high specification Dalhem Ribba/Gustaf wall panel system complemented the feature spiral staircase, demonstrating the finish achieved. The University remained open throughout the duration of the tight 24-week programme.
